The Exclusive Lowing Products Stainless Steel Shot Bag
This is the BEST ballast bag made.
Our exclusive loading process eliminates the need for a bulky plastic liner. All of our shot bags are built to within .1 OZ. If requested, we will happily guarantee a plus or minus .001 OZ Tolerance (given a dry bag in controlled humidity).
These exact weight bags are very well suited for use in industrial weight testing, calibration, counterbalance applications, aeronautics, aircraft and automotive engineering and divers' weight bags. And, of course in Motion Picture production where we originally developed them.
Wherever weight is being handled by people these bags will provide improved safety by reducing muscle fatigue, foot and hand injuries.

The job of a shot bag is to be a conveinent, low maintanance, portable and precise source of weight or ballast. Or to be a sturdy platform that will easily conform to it's surroundings.
Features:
- Hand crafted with genuine tough 1000 Denier Cordura Plus Nylon Fabric
- 4000+ pound, 2 inch wide (1" @ hand hold) seatbelt Webbing is used for the butterfly handle (on all but the SHOT SOCK)
- All seams are DOUBLE-DOUBLE Stitched (that's 4 rows of stitching) for strength and durability
- 304 Stainless Steel #2 size Grommets used on all bags
- We use small #304 & #316 Stainless Steel shot (no carbon steel for our 304 bags)
- Standard in color coded 8 Lb.,15 Lb. and 25 Lb. sizes, other sizes can be tagged for identification if needed.
- Any color combinations available on special order
- Specific weight bags always available on special order, plus or minus .1 OZ standard, plus or minus .001 OZ when requested.
- A 25 Pound bag laid flat measures about 1.75 inches high x 9 inches wide x 12.25 inches long, 192.93 Cubic Inches or .11 Cubic Foot !!

#304 or #409 Stainless Steel?
Due to the increasing costs of the "resaurant grade" #304 stainless steel, we have introduced another alloy of stainless steel, #409. The #409 range of stainless contains an alloy of carbon steel and chromium. This is often referred to as "magnetic stainless steel" since it can be picked up with a magnet.
This alloy has saved in production costs while still providing a corrosion resistant stainless steel for all but the most aggressive environments.
For years now, we've regularly used our standard 409 bags under water in chlorinated pools, Lake Michigan, etc. Once they have been rinsed and dried, we'll bring them onto the white carpet of the finest home interior sets. If they get dirty or greasy during use, we simply clean them at a local quarter car wash and dry them off.
We don't however recommend the use of #409 stainless in applications were long periods of exposure to saltwater (or other corrosive liquids) will be anticipated. Our #304 Stainless bags are still the best in these environments.

The Lowing Products Nesting Apple Box set is a complete set of apple boxes that nest for easy storage and moving. The half, quarter and pancake boxes quickly and conveniently store within the full sized box. This means that two full sets can be stored in the same space that used to be taken up by a single set, while maintaining most of the same dimensions while in use.
Our Nesting Apple Boxes use very strong and stable nine-ply birch plywood and are finished with a layer of stain and several layers of clear urethane top coat.
