CarbonTex 2000 is a Fiberglass material which has been carbon “stippled” with black carbon filament on both sides. It is almost completely opaque. We tested this material by placing the flag approximately 8” away from a 12K HMI Par for over 30 minutes and although it smoked almost the entire time, it never burned. After 30 minutes, when the light was turned off, we were immediately able to handle the flag safely without a cool down period. The flag showed a heat ring, but this did not make the flag unusable.
